The training, focused on the irrigation management systems, the third in a row within the project, took place on July 2, 2018, at the hotel “Thessaloniki” in Skopje.
The training, organized for representatives of all project stakeholders, was attended by approximately 20 participants, representatives from: Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, JSC Water Management, as well as representatives from eight selected locations: Kolibari, Slavishko Pole, Pishica, Chaushica, Sopot, Suvodolsko – Novaci, Tearce and Banjicko Pole.
Oscar Coronel, an irrigation management expert, gave an introduction to irrigation management systems, presented in detail the components of irrigation systems, management process and the practical application of water distribution methods (irrigation schedule).
The participants evaluated the training as very useful and shared some valuable information. Therefore, it was decided that the training on the same topic will be organized once again for the representatives of JSC Water Management.
