The training, focused on on-farm irrigation water management, was attended by 65 representatives from several JSC Water Management offices as well as farmers and representatives from eight selected locations. The training was held on September 4, 2018, at the Hotel Continental in Skopje.
The training program, prepared by irrigation expert Oscar Coronel, covered the basic concepts of on-farm irrigation water management, determining crop water needsand irrigation water needs, irrigation efficiencies, irrigation schedule, irrigation and drainage system components, as well as irrigation methods.
