In a series of three consecutive trainings, held on March 19 in Gostivar, March 26 in Prilep and March 28, 2019 in Strumica, approximately fifty farmers and representatives of agricultural associations learned about on-farm irrigation water management and the use of software applications for irrigation.
The lecturer Oscar Coronel, irrigation expert, covered the basic concepts of managing irrigation systems, determining the crop water needs, irrigation efficiency, irrigation schedule, irrigation and drainage system components, and methods for irrigation. The use of modern tools, such as software applications intended for on farm and system irrigation water management, was also discussed.
